Twelve royal Netherlands space force personal now live and work at moon  base Eisinga , expansion of the moon base is under way to facilitate  more space force personal , construction of a second moon base is also  underway.

Fokker research and development begins working on the D-23 Fokker  meteoor M.2 jet fighter , the M.2 is major improvement over the M.1 ,  having a longer fuselage, greater fuel capacity and a standard ejection  seat.

311th fighter squadron of the royal Netherlands air force receives its  D-23 Fokker meteoor M.1 jet fighters , the squadron which is the only  royal Netherlands air force fighter squadron based in Netherlands Guyana  , main job is guarding the airspace of Netherlands space centre Guyana.

The Western Allies slow their advance and allow the Soviet army to take Berlin.

Argentina declares war on Germany, the last Western hemisphere country to do so.

Work on the New Fijenoord-Rotterdamsche space yard orbiting the moon is  progressing on schedule , two shuttles operating out of moon base  Eisinga are assigned to assist in the construction.

Japanese admiral Toyoda , commander-in-chief of the combined fleet  orders the battleship Yamato and four carriers to being operations along  the coast of the Chinese province of Guangxi in order to show that not  all glory belongs to the imperial Japanese army.

Construction on the second moon base begins by the royal Netherlands  engineering corps , the base is to be named New Amsterdam moon base.

May 2nd 
The battle of Berlin ends when German general Helmuth Weidling,  commander of the Berlin defense area, unconditionally surrenders the  city of Berlin to Soviet General Vasily Chuikov. 
British field marshal Montgomery tells German general of the army,  admiral Hans von Friedeburg and three others to surrender  unconditionally all German forces in Helgoland, Schleswig-Holstein,  Denmark, and all other islands. 
May 3rd 
Rocket scientist Wernher von Braun and 120 members of his team surrender to US forces. 
May 4th 
Near Hamburg, the unconditional surrender of one million troops in  German land, sea, and air forces in Denmark, and northern Germany facing  the Canadian 1st army and British 2nd army is arranged. 
May 5th 
Denmark is liberated by Allied troops. 
The Netherlands government decide to close the interment camp on the  island of Texel , and the interment camp in the province of Utrecht  where British and American airman where held , the interment camp in the  province of Friesland where Germans airman are hold is to remain open  as the Germans for now have place to return to. 
May 7th 
The Netherlands government announces that 100,000 refuges living in  refuge camps in the Netherlands provinces of North Brabant , Zeeland and  Limburg can leave to their home country’s of Germany ore Belgium when  the situation is stabile enough. 
May 8th 
Washington, D.C., US President Harry Truman officially announces the  unconditional surrender of Germany , and whit it the second world war  officially ends. 
May 9th 
Dr. Anton Mussert leader of the banded Netherlands national socialist  movement holds a wake for Adolf Hitler , the wake which is held in a  café in The Hauge is attended by 30 people. 
Moscow radio announces Josef Stalin's proclamation of the unconditional surrender of Germany. 
May 10th 
The Netherlands ministry of foreign affairs announces that the kingdom  of the Netherlands has broken off diplomatic relations with Germany, and  taken over the German legation, consulate and other German properties  in The Hauge. 
May 19th 
Heinrich Himmler enters disguised as a German refuge the Netherlands  border , however he is detected by one of the 1000 small sensor placed  along the Netherlands-German border , a royal Netherlands army patrol  driving a DAF M.38 armored car at the Dutch side of the border picks up  the signal and moves to the location , Heinrich Himmler seeing the  vehicle and knowing he is now in the Netherlands surrenders to the crew  inside believing he is safe. 
May 20th 
Royal Netherlands military intelligence service bring Heinrich Himmler  to a house used by the military intelligence service somewhere in the  Netherlands , where he is identified and latter question by the royal  Netherlands military intelligence service. 
May 22nd 
Chairman of the oversight commission Janssen and prime minister Smit  decide to keep Heinrich Himmler until the beginning of the Nuremberg  trails the now are soon to begin ,and question him until handing him  over to the British. 
May 27th 
Prime minister Smit announces that he will step down as prime minister  in 1949 , this after his political party , the royal democratic party  becomes for the third time the largest party in the cabinet. 
June 5th 
The European advisory committee announces the unconditional political  capitulation of Germany , control of the country is divided into four  occupation zones, whit the United States, Great Britain, France and the  Soviet Union controlling each one zone. 
June 8th 
During a patrol along the coast of Netherlands Borneo , the royal  Netherlands submarine HNLMS O-19 , becomes stuck after hitting a  sandbank. 
June 13th 
Gerard Callenburgh-class destroyer HNLMS Bloys van Treslong and  Admiralen class destroyer HMNLS Witte de With (1) using their guns and  several Mark 7 torpedoes , destroy HNLMS O-19 , after attempts to pull  here of the sandbank failed. 
July 16th 
To late to be used in the war against Germany , the United States tests  the first atomic bomb, at the Alamo-gordo airbase in New Mexico , the  blast is monitored by a orbiting class-1 probe who transmit the data to  the royal Netherlands space force headquarters in Den Helder , before  ending up on the desk of prime minister Smit.

First Belgium refugees , some having stayed in a refugee camp in the  Netherlands sins the German invasion of Belgium in 1940 set foot in  their country for the first time in vive years.

In the dessert of New Mexico , the United States test their second  atomic bomb , again the blast is picked up by a royal Netherlands space  force class-1 probe and send to Den Helder , where the date is analyzed.

The Nuremberg trials begin , the Netherlands government decides to hand  Heinrich Himmler over to the Americans and British for prosecution. 
November 26th 
Heinrich Himmler is transported to the German border , by two  Netherlands military intelligence service agents who after a quick  conversation hand a unwilling Himmler over to two British secret  intelligence service agents , who later bring him to a location in  Germany for interrogation. 
December 4th 
The United Nations charter is ratified by the United States senate,  becoming the third nation to join the new international organization.

Heinrich Himmler is transported by the British to Nuremberg where he will face trail.

The Japanese empire , state of Manchuria , empire of Vietnam, kingdom of  Laos , kingdom of Cambodia , Mengjiang united autonomous government (2)  and the republic of China-Nanking(3) sign the charter for the creation  of the greater east Asia alliance (4).
