August 5 Ordered by the Netherlands prime minister all military actions against the free Indonesian movement in the Netherlands East Indies are to stop immediately as a Dutch cabinet appointed committee begins working on a plan for a independent Netherlands East Indies before 1951 and the separation of Netherlands of New Guinea who the Netherlands wants to keep.

August 11 From its garrison in the city of Augsburg in the German empire the Reichsheer 17th Panzer division and the 504th German heavy tank battalion leave towards the Italian kingdom of Italy port of Genoa where the will embark transport ships who will bring them to the Spanish state where the will conduct a two week exercise whit the Spanish Brunete armored division.

Augusts 12 After fourteen days fighting in and around the town of Rabaul , the town is finally in American and Australian hands as the last several hundred Japanese defenders commit suicide ore die in a kamikaze attack against the American and Australian rather than surrendering to them.
A day after the destruction of Kyoto , Japanese prime minister Yoshijiro Umezu inside the safety of the Matsushiro underground imperial headquarters signs the excachution order for 3,000 US prisoners of war ( the Matsushiro underground imperial headquarters is a part of a complex which is spread underneath several mountains whit facilities for the imperial general headquarters , imperial resident and other important installations needed for the Japanese government to rule their country , in one of the facility’s former prime minister Yamamoto is held wile in the imperial resident emperor Hirohito and his family are living ).

August 14 Pakistan gains independence from the British empire.

August 15 India gains independence from the British empire. August 16 The Soviet Union declares war on the empire of Japan and begins the invasion of state of Manchuria whit the Soviet-Manchuria front and here allies the Chinese liberation army , Mongolian people's army and the Korean volunteer army ( whilst the other army’s do take part in the invasion of Manchuria the Korean volunteer army dos not as it has made it clear that it will only take part in the invasion of Korea which is to begin when Manchuria is under full control of the Soviet Union and here allies ).

Augustus 17 Taking of from a Italian air field Generaloberst Eduard von Montag , commander of the 17th Reichsheer panzer division onboard a Kaiserliche Luftwaffe Ju-52 transport plane heads to the Spanish state where he will command the 17th Panzer division , 504th German heavy tank battalion and the 8th armored battalion of the Italian 132nd Ariete armored division during its two week exercise in the Spanish state.

August 21 After nine months the imperial Iranian army pulls back form the buffer zone the had establish in the border region of Iraq and is replaced by the 4th Iraq army division ( whit the Kurdish uprising now crushed by the British lead Iraq force and royal Iraq army in the kingdom of Iraq and by the Turkish and Soviet armed forces in the Turkish republic the imperial Iranian army can leave the buffer zone the had put in place and leave the security in the former Iraq buffer zone to the Iraqis ).

August 22 Last of the German and Italian forces are unloaded into the harbor of Valencia , whit this all the forces of the 17th Reichsheer panzer division , 504th German heavy tank battalion and the Italian 8th armored battalion are in the Spanish state where the will conduct the two week exercise whit the Spanish armored division Brunete ( the two week exercise will be held in the Spanish province of Valencia ).

August 23 The Soviet-Manchuria front reaches the outskirts of the Manchurian capital of Xinjing together whit the Mongolian people's army ( the Mongolian people's army contribution to the invasion is called the Soviet Mongolian cavalry army and consists of the 5th , 6th , 7th and 8th Mongolian cavalry divisions and supporting regiments ).

Augustus 24 Before the joint Spanish , German and Italian armored exercise is to begin a presentation of some of German and Italian tanks for Spanish head of state generalissimo Franco is made who is deeply impress whit the panzer X tanks belonging to the 504th German heavy tank battalion , when he ask Generaloberst von Montag if the tank can be bought by Spain , the Generaloberst replies that for the moment the German empire dos not plan to sell the panzer X to any nation even if the are member of the Central alliance.
In a desperate attempt to slow the Soviet from taking the Manchurian capitol , its Japanese defenders fire artillery shells filled whit mustard gas towards the Soviet 6th guards tank army which is surrounding the city , in the attack only a hundred of Soviet soldiers are killed both more then 2,000 civilians trapped in the city die as result of the mustard attack ( the Japanese have the 30th army whit three infantry divisions and the 13th armored regiment in the city and the Manchurians have the Jilin guard army which has the Xinjing cavalry brigade , 8th mix brigade and the Manchukuo imperial guards brigade in the city ).

Augustus 25 In the Portuguese capitol of Lisbon a member of the Soviet peace delegation ask his German counterpart if it is appropriate that a militarily exercise is held wile peace talk are going , he gets as answer if it is appropriate for the Soviet Union to fight another nation at this time and breaking a treaty it had whit it to do so which might look if the Soviet Union dos not respects treaties it signs.
A day after the mustard attack on the Soviets , officers belonging to the Xinjing cavalry brigade inside the city of Xinjing decide to defect to the Soviet side whit their brigade , after waiting for the right moment more then 1,300 soldiers and their officers head towards the Soviet lines , many are killed by the Soviets who believe the brigade is making a kamikaze attack against their line , those who make it to safety are put on transports and are shot and somewhere in the Mongolian steps several weeks latter.

Augustus 26 In Belgrade the verdict of marshal Tito is announced by the military tribunal , in all counts he is found guilty and is sentence to death by fire squad.

Augusts 27 The Japanese imperial general headquarters sends out a order to all Japanese forces in Manchuria to retreat towards Korea where the will establish a new line of defense ( the defense of Korea falls under the Japanese 17th area army ore also known as the Japanese Chosen army who has some six poorly trained and equipment infantry divisions and large portions of the 3rd armored division ).
From the Spanish air force base Los Llanos several Spanish air force Ju-88 bombers make a simulated bombing against the 17th Reichsheer panzer division who for this exercise takes the role of the red army wile the Spanish armored division Brunete is the blue army ( the Spanish air force has 45 Ju-88 bombers in its inventory who all operate from Los Llanos ).

Augustus 28 Whit most of Manchuria under the control of the Soviets and Chinese and the Japanese and Manchurian imperial forces in full retreat towards Korea the Soviet-Chinese headquarters decides to begin the second faze of operation August storm which will be the invasion of Japanese controlled Korea.

Augustus 29 Large groups of Soviet naval air service bombers attack the ports of Yuki, Rashin and Seishin in Japanese control Korea ( these attacks against Japanese ports in Korea where started on the first day of the war in order to prevent the Japanese from transporting reinforcements, equipment and ammunition from the home islands both have now bin increased as the Soviet-Manchuria front is getting closer to the Korean border and the invasion of Korea is about to begin.

Augustus 30 For the first time Japanese ports in north Korea are attacked by warships belonging to the Soviet pacific fleet sea as destroyers , torpedo boats and the battleship Parizhskaya Kommuna bombard the ports of Yuki, Rashin and Seishin , during one of those bombardments the crew of the battleship Parizhskaya Kommuna are unaware that the are being observed by a submarine , lucky for them it’s a US navy submarine of the Balao class who whit many others US , British and Dutch submarines is prowling the Sea of Japan in search for Japanese ships that might venture out transporting goods to and from Korea.
